Fola is a specialist nature consultancy.

We work with corporates and financial institutions to understand their interface with nature, manage their risks and opportunities, support their reporting requirements and develop credible strategies that drive action.

We believe that nature should not be addressed in isolation and work with businesses to integrate nature into existing risk management frameworks and wider corporate strategies.

Launched in 2023, Fola aspires to change the way businesses view and interact with nature. We want to mainstream our conviction that a healthy planet is essential for business.
The name Fola derives from the four realms of Earth: Freshwater, Oceans, Land and Atmosphere

Nature doesn’t exist in a vacuum. We see time and time again how pervasive nature is within businesses. That’s why collaboration is so crucial to how we operate. We like to feel like we are part of client teams and emphasise collaboration with the wider business to integrate nature with existing progress, avoid duplication and capture win-wins.

Nature is knotty and fluid. We embrace this complexity and seek out opportunities to tackle problems in new ways, whether through the use of AI or something as simple as taking clients outside on projects; we want to do things differently, to add value to our clients and drive action.

We need to build momentum on nature, fast. Our role is to help companies understand how and why they need to move forwards with nature. To do this, we focus on demystifying this complex area in a way that it is business-relevant and, most importantly, energising.

Our Story

Fola was set up from a conviction that nature needed to be further up the agenda and a belief that consulting could be more energising, direct and impact-focused.

Our founders bring backgrounds in accounting, conservation and in nature and climate change consulting. This blend allows us to communicate decision-useful information and distil complex environmental problems. We are hugely passionate about the outside world and that’s why our name derives from the four realms of nature

Theo Bromfield

Director

Theo’s background is in nature and biodiversity conservation. He started his career in the charity sector working with a variety of NGOs whilst simultaneously completing his MA in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development. Theo then joined PwC’s Sustainability team to build its nature proposition and launch their global Centre for Nature Positive Business.

Ollie Robinson

Director

Before Fola, Ollie was a senior leader in Deloitte’s ESG Advisory team. He started as a Chartered Accountant working on the audits of renewable energy companies before completing an MSc in Carbon Management and moving to sustainability consulting. At Deloitte, Ollie led a range of sustainability reporting and decarbonisation projects for some of the UK’s largest companies.
